When Mari, a wedding photographer herself, from @tolovethatlasts reached out to me to shoot her wedding, I was beyond the moon. What an honor to document one of the most important days of Mari and Eivind’s love story! They both put so much love and thought into their details to make everything match their vision. To create the wedding dress of her dreams, Mari reached out to Maria Juterud, a dress designer and tailor, and together they designed Mari’s stunning wedding dress you can see below. An absolute dream if you ask me with delicate flower embroidery, inspired by traditional Norwegian “Bunad” dresses, and the soft pearls on the arms.
The ceremony took place at Ris Kirke in Oslo with all their beloved ones, friends, and family being there to celebrate their love. The ceremony has been especially wonderful, as the priest is a close friend to them. It has been such a relaxing and wonderful ceremony, with lots of laughter, blessings, beautiful singing, and happy tears.
After the rings were exchanged the party started! Chilled cocktail hour, self-brewed beer, and barista-made coffee rounded the party outside of the Ris Meningshus perfectly up before the dinner started.
To catch some stunning sunset photos, we sneaked out for 10-minutes and caught the warm, honeylike sun rays during golden hour. Coming back it was time to share the wedding cake, which was a huge chocolate cookie, just like Mari and Eivind had imagined for them. And lots and lots of more delicious cookies with all kinds of flavors for the guests. Believe me, these were soooo delicious! The dance floor got opened with fantastic live music playing wild and loud all night long. Shaking it all out and embracing love and life.
What a day to remember!
